Accidents do happen, so the cable monitor can be used to monitor a heating cable/mat during installation. Should a cable get cut, then it sounds an alarm, the installation can be stopped and cable repaired.

About this product

The cable monitor is for surveillance of under-tile heating cables and mats before, during and after installation.

The cable monitor is designed to measure the heating cable resistance and heating element insulation integrity. These are the parts of the cable that cannot be visually inspected for damage during installation.

If any major failure occurs during installation, the cable monitor sounds an alarm and the installation can be stopped immediately to allow investigation of the fault and a replacement element can be sourced or a repair can be performed without significant delay or cost.

What it will detect:

  • If ether of the heating conductors are cut
  • An electrical short between the heating conductor and the earth braid

What it will not detect:

  • Minor damage caused to the outer PVC coating or the earth braid

We offer you free next working day delivery* on all small orders for our heating products to any UK mainland address.  If the order requires delivery via a pallet, the service will be free 1-2 working day delivery and shown at checkout.

Please note this excludes Northern Ireland, Eire and the Scottish Highlands. Further to our standard delivery service, we are also able to offer a pre 10:30am delivery service on any working day. However, this level of carriage does come with an added cost:

For bulky orders, we will arrange a pallet delivery on a 1-2 working day service, but costs may vary depending on the size of the order. Please note free next working day delivery excludes pallet deliveries.

To qualify for free next working day delivery, you must submit your order to us before 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. All efforts are made to ensure that you receive your order on the next available working day.

If your order is placed after the 3:30pm cut off on a Friday, it will be despatched on the Monday for a Tuesday delivery. Bank holidays are considered non-working days and will be treated as such.

Please note whilst we maintain strong relationships with our couriers and will do everything our end to ensure your delivery is with you the next working day (excluding pallet deliveries), some circumstances are beyond our control, such as traffic, weather or unusual events. This may lead to your delivery arriving late, meaning that tradesmen are unable to continue with a project. We will not be held responsible for any costs that are incurred as a result of a delayed delivery, and it is recommend that customers ensure the materials required by their contractors are on site prior to the commencement of any work.

If your product has been delayed, we will use our tracking service to help keep you informed of any estimated time and date of your delivery.
